Holjeron’s new, 2.5-inch diameter, motorized Smartroller® moves 1,500-pound palletized loads.
Engineered to complement the Microroller line of motor-driven rollers (MDR), the new, 2.5-inch diameter Smartroller is engineered to handle palletized loads up to 1,500 pounds. It features a 24-volt direct current (DC) brushless, high-torque motor and permanently lubricated planetary gear reduction drive for maintenance-free operation.
Rated for 25,000 hours of operation, the unit is housed in a durable, heavy-duty galvanized steel roller shell. The rollers may be specified for 35-watt conveyor systems and are fully compatible with Holjeron’s line of ZoneLink3® controllers.
“We engineered the Smartroller for customers who need a reliable, robust and heavier capacity motor-driven roller,” explains John Mosher, Holjeron’s Manager of OEM business development. “More operations are transitioning away from forklift-based load movement for safety and sustainability reasons. Moving palletloads with powered roller conveyor accomplishes both of those objectives, because the rollers’ controller can be programmed to power up only upon detection of a load within a zone.”
In 1850, John Dixon Matthews emigrated from Sheffield, England to open a small engraving shop in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He became a pre-eminent provider of high-quality identification products and services, including stamping dies, branding irons, ornate engravings and stamps for wooden crates. His company flourished, converting from a partnership to a corporation in 1902.
